How Do You Feel Today?

We all experience different emotions across the day. While every emotion is valid, some can be discomforting. We are here to support you through these emotions.

  • Being angry is a human experience. We are here to help. Until you reach out to us, here is something to soothe:

     

    Scribble on paper: Take a pen or pencil and scribble as hard or fast as you need to. Once you’re done, pause, breathe, and notice how your body feels. Take as much time as needed and scribble your way.

  • Anxiety can be tough to sit with. We are here to help. Until you reach out to us, here is something to soothe:
     

    Deep Breathing:
    ~Take slow, deep breaths to calm your nervous system.
    ~Inhale deeply for four counts, hold for four, and exhale for four.
    ~Repeat several times.

    Self-compassion: Be kind to yourself. Acknowledge your feelings without judgment, and treat yourself as you would a friend who is feeling down.

    Physical exercise: engage in light exercise, such as walking or stretching. Physical movement can help clear your mind and improve focus.

    Set Micro-Goals: Create a series of tiny, achievable goals to give you momentum. Set small goals like "Make my bed," "Drink a glass of water” These goals could provide a sense of accomplishment. .
